SWELLRADAR is requesting a verified marine run for Little Fiji · Escambrón.
Spot intelligence.
Little Fiji is the demanding reef east of the Escambrón rock, separate from La Ocho on the other side. This is an expert-only profile, not a learner or ordinary intermediate recommendation. The atlas calls the wave left-only while a named firsthand account describes right-hand lines: handedness remains unresolved, not silently changed to left, right or an A-frame. Reef entry and exit require current local knowledge; no safe route is prescribed. Smaller model values do not remove the expert gate.

Reviewed 24 Oct 2026 · not observation-validated
Six existing research holds reviewed; only Little Fiji receives a bounded source-reviewed profile. Published sources reviewed by SWELLRADAR, not validation against measured breaking waves. The inherited 0.6–3.0 m offshore-model ranking band remains unchanged and unvalidated: not a local surf limit, activation threshold, safe learner range or wave-face conversion. Approximate pins and geometric sea requests are not surveyed takeoffs or bathymetry. Missing wind/tide optima use explicit unverified scoring; uncertainty is not filled from neighbours. Local conditions, notices, entry knowledge and personal ability still require an on-site check. The standalone original Fiji atlas was fully read, not only its previously indexed La Ocho paragraph. Its approximate WGS84 18°28.156′N, 66°5.387′W converts to 18.4692667, -66.0897833, about two metres from the unchanged import. This is source correspondence, not independent surveying; the coordinates may share provenance. The atlas and Carlos J Claudio's independently authored account both locate the wave east/right of the rock and distinguish La Ocho, resolving the earlier section-identification hold. Their left-only versus right-hand descriptions remain a real unresolved handedness conflict. No verified handedness, both-way peak or A-frame is inferred. The atlas's specialist-only warning and the independent steep-drop/reef-barrier account support the conservative Expert-only gate. N is a qualitative reference within the independently described N/NW exposure, not a measured optimum or continuous acceptance window. The guide's internally contradictory 'no reef break' sentence is excluded; reef identity is supported separately by the atlas, firsthand account and tourism listing. Atlas S/SE and guide SSE wind wording is retained as unverified context, with no numeric wind axis or direction bonus. No tide optimum, phase/motion reward, preferred window or adaptive reef fallback is established. The atlas's repeated La Ocho subsection is one text family, not another independent source. Historical size/depth examples, fees, crowd and access claims are not current guarantees or model thresholds. The six-kilometre N sea request is geometric sampling, not a reef-depth or provider-snap validation.
- WannaSurf · standalone original Fiji atlas
Full original body and approximate GPS match the retained Escambrón reef east of the rock; specialist-only warning, coral/rock and N/NW reference. Left-only conflicts with the independent account; copied La Ocho subsection is not counted again
- Surf-Forecast · Carlos J Claudio's original firsthand Little Fiji account
Independent repeated personal sessions east/right behind the rock, N/NW swell, steep drop, reef-adjacent turn and demanding reef-barrier entry, separate from La Ocho; right-hand wording remains disputed, and the guide's contradictory reef sentence is excluded
- Discover Puerto Rico · original Little Fiji listing
Independent official tourism identity as an exposed Escambrón reef; broad La Ocho beginner marketing is not transferred

Character
01Little Fiji · Escambrón is defined by reef peak · handedness unresolved over coral and rock reef · exact depth unverified. The shape can change with swell angle, period and the active section, so the live score should always be paired with a visual check from shore.
Best setup
02N · qualitative reef reference swell, local wind response · unverified and local reef response · unverified form the profile baseline. SWELLRADAR retains 0.6–3.0 m as an offshore-model ranking band, not a measured local surf limit or a breaking-wave prediction.
Lineup read
03This is an expert-only profile, not an advanced-intermediate recommendation. Even experts must assess the active reef, entry and exit locally; smaller model values are not safety clearance. Pay particular attention to shallow reef impacts, steep ledging takeoff, reef barriers on entry and exit. Local signs and advice always take priority.
