Spot intelligence.

Madonnina represents the Ponente beach at Cesenatico beside the offshore Madonna monument, not the Maruggio namesake. Its reforming peaks are documented for longboards and SUP, but Intermediate is a conservative independent-recommendation minimum across the unsplit beach and unvalidated model band. Soft waves in selected conditions do not make every storm or bank learner-suitable.

Profile sources & limits

Reviewed 23 Oct 2026 · not observation-validated

Published sources reviewed by SWELLRADAR, not validation against measured breaking waves. Directional references are qualitative ranking inputs, not surveyed optima or complete acceptance windows. The inherited generic 0.6–3.0 m offshore-model band stays unchanged and unvalidated: not a local surf limit, safe learner range or wave-face conversion. Original approximate map pins and location sources remain except the explicitly sourced Peʻahi correction. Explicit sea requests do not survey takeoffs, depth, currents, access or provider-snapped cells. Riviera Surf's original local guide identifies scattered reforming peaks, NE/E/SE swell, sensitivity to active wind and partial Scirocco shelter. E is explicitly the coarse centre of that published sector, not a surveyed optimum; shelter is not a clean-wind direction or strength guarantee. Living Cesenatico's original 2015 report independently locates the statue and local stand-up surfing. SurfCamItalia supplies only a supplementary, unsurveyed sandy-bank and lateral-current description, not independently validated bathymetry or currents; its templated chat messages, ratings, generic break tags and LIVE label are not observational evidence and are not used for calibration. The club's original webcam page corroborates the local viewing resource, not that a usable live image was inspected. No independent numeric clean-wind axis or tide optimum was established: no directional wind/opposite-swell fallback or tide phase/motion reward, preferred window or adaptive beach fallback. Current crowds, patrols, water quality and access are not verified.

Character

01

Madonnina is defined by reforming beach peaks · variable banks over predominantly sand banks. The shape can change with swell angle, period and the active section, so the live score should always be paired with a visual check from shore.

Best setup

02

E · qualitative centre of NE/E/SE guide sector swell, light wind · no directional optimum established and changing banks · response unverified form the profile baseline. SWELLRADAR retains 0.6–3.0 m as an offshore-model ranking band, not a measured local surf limit or a breaking-wave prediction.

Lineup read

03

Choose a peak that matches your experience and reassess it as tide and crowd change. Pay particular attention to changing sandbank channels, storm-driven lateral currents, mixed-use lineup and offshore monument. Local signs and advice always take priority.
