Spot intelligence.

Pelúa is the point-influenced western section beside Pantaleta, not a separate uniformly sandy beginner beach. The approximate place marker does not survey the left takeoff or every nearby Point Pelua label. Intermediate is a conservative minimum independent-recommendation gate, not all-condition permission or proof of safe depth. Respect local priorities and inspect the active section from shore.

Reviewed 23 Oct 2026 · not observation-validated

Published sources reviewed by SWELLRADAR, not validation against measured breaking waves. Swell-from references are qualitative ranking inputs, not surveyed optima or complete acceptance windows. The inherited generic 0.6–3.0 m offshore-model band remains unchanged and unvalidated: not a measured local working range, safe learner range or wave-face conversion. Original approximate map pins and location references remain. Explicit sea requests do not survey takeoffs, bottom clearance, sandbars, currents, entry routes or provider-snapped cells. The original indexed WannaSurf Pelua listing describes a left over sand/rock near Pantaleta, N/NE swell and NW wind. The original Surf-Forecast Playa Pelua guide corroborates the point and NNE/NW references but describes both directions and lists a separate nearby Point Pelua. Pantaleta's participant account identifies a western Pelúa left. These accounts support a qualitative NNE exposure reference but not one surveyed takeoff or uniform wave direction across the retained marker; no wind-direction bonus or opposite-swell fallback is assigned while the local section effect remains unverified. Seea's original participant interview with Sabina independently describes Pelúa as a shortboard wave, not a wind/tide optimum or ability certificate. The indexed sources were readable but their direct fetches failed. No tide preference, safe learner band, actual reef clearance, present crowd or access permission is established. Tide stays unverified without bonuses or adaptive fallback; this section and Pantaleta are not independent swell systems.

Character

01

Playa Pelúa is defined by left reported · other point sections differ over sand with rock · point-influenced section. The shape can change with swell angle, period and the active section, so the live score should always be paired with a visual check from shore.

Best setup

02

NNE · qualitative point reference swell, light wind · local effect unverified and section-specific · check locally form the profile baseline. SWELLRADAR retains 0.6–3.0 m as an offshore-model ranking band, not a measured local surf limit or a breaking-wave prediction.

Lineup read

03

Choose a peak that matches your experience and reassess it as tide and crowd change. Pay particular attention to rocks and sea urchins, fast hollow sections on suitable swells, crowded local lineup. Local signs and advice always take priority.
