Spot intelligence.

This retained Redondo marker is below Miraflores, not Redondo Beach in California. Olas Perú's local technical sheet grades the mixed stone-and-sand peaks Intermediate. That is a minimum independent-recommendation gate, not clearance for every model-band size or a promise of gentle surf. Check the active peak, entry, obstacles and current water advisories locally.

Profile sources & limits

Reviewed 23 Oct 2026 · not observation-validated

Published sources reviewed by SWELLRADAR, not validation against measured breaking waves. Swell-from references are qualitative ranking inputs, not surveyed optima or complete acceptance windows. The inherited generic 0.6–3.0 m offshore-model band remains unchanged and unvalidated: not a measured local working range, safe learner range or wave-face conversion. Original approximate map pins and location references remain. Explicit sea requests do not survey takeoffs, bottom clearance, sandbars, currents, entry routes or provider-snapped cells. Olas Perú's original technical sheet specifies lefts and rights, stones/sand, Intermediate ability, SW swell and calm wind. Its selected 1–1.5 m and middle/low-water advice is not a whole-marker wave-height or tide calibration. Surf-Forecast independently supplies SW swell and ENE wind for the reef/pier setting; calm wind and a clean-wind direction are not opposing directional optima. Its all-stage surf wording establishes neither equal tide quality nor a preferred movement. Tide scoring therefore remains unverified, with no phase/motion bonus, preferred window or adaptive fallback. Neither source establishes present pollution, parking availability, safe depth, patrol cover or a measured breaking-wave conversion.

  • Olas Perú · original Playa Redondo technical sheet

Local school's own sheet identifies stone/sand left-right peaks, Intermediate grade, SW swell and calm wind; selected size and middle/low-water advice are not general scoring or safety limits

  • Surf-Forecast · original Redondo guide

Original matching Lima guide reports reef/pier peaks, SW swell and independent ENE wind, all-stage surfability and rock/man-made/pollution cautions; not present observations

Character

01

Playa Redondo is defined by lefts and rights · lefts emphasised locally over stones and sand · reef/pier-influenced peaks. The shape can change with swell angle, period and the active section, so the live score should always be paired with a visual check from shore.

Best setup

02

SW · qualitative Costa Verde reference swell, ene · qualitative guide reference and section-specific · check locally form the profile baseline. SWELLRADAR retains 0.6–3.0 m as an offshore-model ranking band, not a measured local surf limit or a breaking-wave prediction.

Lineup read

03

Choose a peak that matches your experience and reassess it as tide and crowd change. Pay particular attention to rocky entry and submerged stones, buoys and other man-made obstructions, urban runoff and water-quality uncertainty. Local signs and advice always take priority.
